Ignitron ECU Ignitron ECU is a plug and play standalone engine management system for the VW/AUDI/SEAT/SKODA 1.8 20V Turbo engines running BOSCH Motronic ME 7.5 ECU (also fits other platforms up to six cylinders, like VW/AUDI 2.5/2.7/2.8/3.2L after slight modification of the loom).

To whom do we recommend?

This is for the hardcore user, not for the faint-hearted! Ignitron ECU is recommended to be used on heavily modified racing engines with projected power levels well above or multiples of the original setup! The ECU lets you to run your engine based on true speed density method or with a mass airflow sensor if you like. It can be reconfigured within seconds next to the race track, logs selected variables into its own data logging memory and gives you flexibility which will never be available on a stock ECU. Off road use only!

Ignitron EGT Amplifier

Ignitron EGT Amplifier Ignitron EGT amplifier is a small electronic circuit which can be used to interface a K-Type thermocouple to a measuring device or Engine Control Unit. It incorporates a precision thermocouple amplifier (Analog Devices AD8495) with cold juncion temperature compensation. Its operating voltage is between 10V and 16V, the power input is reverse battery, load dump protected and the output is short circuit protected! The output signal has an impedance of 300 Ohms, 0V represents 0C, 5V represents 1200C EGT (1V / 240C). Output goes to 5V (or higher) if the thermocouple circuit is open. This EGT amplifier has to be used with Ignitron ECU, as it has a relatively low output impedance which is required by the ECU!
